“I have been using Clay’s services for 4 years now and am so grateful that I have found him. It started with my housesitter being unavailable to sit my cat while I was traveling. Clay was available for an interview and was fortunately able to take Simba. The references were very positive even to the point of my cat being happier there than at home. The first trip I was very nervous. Clay contacted me via email and took my calls and Simba was fine. The second trip – I found that he had cleared out a spot in his closet and put a cozy rug down – because that is where Simba liked to hang out the first trip. The third trip it was under the sink. I knew I had found a hero for Simba, someone who would rearrange their space around his needs. He is a very shy cat. I know also that he sleeps at Clay’s head and sits next to him to be brushed. He (Simba) comes home very playful. Take two – I got a dog – now I need to travel and have a dog and a cat that need care. No problem. Izzi is happy to see the cat carrier come out – she knows she is going to Clay’s. She is excited to see Clay and she comes back very healthy and happy. Her coat is good and sleek; she eats well. She has a hard time deciding what she should do – she is happy to see me and wants to hang with Clay. I am lucky to have found someone who is sensitive to my beauties’ needs.”

“I just got our scottie puppy in October after losing our wheaton in August after 16 years. So, I was pretty sensitive to the whole thing. I forgot how much time is involved in training a puppy since I hadn’t done it in 16 years. I was a little worried since I knew it was going to be difficult to take him out every few hours since I worked full time. I started searching for dog walkers and came across this website which is great and was the selling point.

We met with Clay and went over what we needed. He was attentive, took notes and asked questions. He took it seriously which impressed me.

The past few months have gone great. Clay does not complain when we ask him to do things for our pup (i.e. have him ring the bell when he wants to go out, use the clicker to praise him, put his raincoat on when it rains).

He communicates very well too. We keep a communication log between us. Now that our pup is ready to transition to group walks, I feel good knowing he is in Clay’s hands.”

“I have had Clay walking and pet sitting my most beloved family member for over 5 years. I have a bulldog who has had various health issues including needing medications, tummy issues and mild seizures… Clay is not only compassionate, conscientious and kind, he is incredibly capable and equipped to recognize issues as they arise. I often think my dog gets more excited to see Clay than he does to see me. Clay communicates effectively, letting me know how Phinneas is doing on a daily basis. Clay also keeps his groups very small, so I know each dog is getting great amounts of attention and I know Clay only services dogs in groups that are equally as friendly and eager to play and frolic as mine (though I know he does private walks for those a little less social). As a working professional, there is no greater feeling than coming home to a tired, happy, socially well adjusted dog. I have also used Clay’s boarding services while out of the country and when I do not have phone service, he communicates via email which is quite a relief. Every day my dog spends with Clay, is the best day of his (my dogs) life! I made a commitment to this dog when I purchased him to give him the best life I possibly could. To give him exercise, love and attention. I do not think I would have been able to make good on that commitment without Clay’s presence in our lives. He is a breath of fresh air for me as well as my pet. I highly recommend Clay’s services to any dog owners out there.”

“The Spousal Unit fell in love with a failed Mexican street dog (don’t ask how, it’s a long story). So the next thing we knew, we were buying a bed and making food and signing up for training. And calling Clay. Our new poochie is very sweet, very calm, very eager to please. But it’s still obvious that, at some point, a man was not nice to him. He adores The Spousal Unit, but doesn’t automatically adore many other males. When Clay showed up at our door (accompanied by a toy), our new pooch basically fell at his feet and stayed that way for the entire visit. It took us two weeks of regular walks and feedings to get our new baby to show us his belly. He showed it to Clay in two seconds flat. Trust your babies to Clay, and they’ll love you forever”.

“Clay has been fantastic! He is super reliable and trustworthy. I’ve had to go out of town a lot and I hate leaving my little Fluffster behind, but I feel so much better with Clay there to take care of her. He is very sweet and caring and boy do I have a cat that craves affection. Clay is there to deliver! It is also wonderful to get little updates about how she is doing, particularly when I am out of town longer than usual. I cannot recommend Clay enough!”

“About a year ago I had an incident that left me unable to walk my dog Tracy. I went online to look for a dog walker, found Clay’s post, spoke with him and called some references. The references checked out so I gave Clay a try. Boy was that the right decision. Clay has done a great job with Tracy. I think you can tell if your dog likes someone or not and my girl, whose really laid back, is really happy and bouncy when she sees Clay. Several times this past year I’ve had health problems that have precluded my walking her on weekends. Clay, sometimes on very short notice, has always been there for me in those situations and has cared for Tracy as though she was his own. He’s a real pro at what he does, completely trustworthy with my house keys and Tracy’s best buddy, other than me of course.”

“Clay is a God-send! Seriously, a pet sitter takes care of your little ones and has to have your trust because he’s doing this in your home, when you aren’t there. Clay DOES NOT disappoint. He feeds, cleans, grooms and even sings to my Fat Cat (ok, not sure about the singing but the rest is true). The best part is that he is really inexpensive. Peace of mind is priceless….if you are in the market for a pet sitter…do yourself a favor and give Clay a call. You will be glad you did.”

“Clay has been a life saver for my wife and I. His rates are quite reasonable and he is very easy to deal with and he always goes out of his way to try to help us when we need last minute late night walks (though I’m sure he’d rather know a little in advance).

I had to come home over lunch at one point to let our landlord in and was there when Clay was home and am excited to say that our dog, Buster, was THRILLED to see him. He normally whines when we leave him, but he completely forgot i was there when it came Claytime. We highly recommend his services.”

“I found Clay through pure luck and could not be happier with him and the wonderful service he provides. We have spoiled our little Persians so much that they cannot spend 24 hours alone. When we moved here with our newly CRF diagnosed girl, I felt lost. In came Clay to the rescue and he is wonderful. From our first meeting, he came prepared with a checklist, checked out the digs and bonded straight away with the kids. Most of all, he encouraged me when I had to administer fluids and made all of us feel comfortable. Almost one year later, Clay comes to take care of them whenever I am out of town and I get to get away, knowing I will come back to two happy, healthy cats! He sends text updates, follows the fluid schedule, all with the greatest attitude. Thank you Clay, you are a life-saver. We don’t know what we would do without you! “

“Clay is the best – seriously! We first hired him to watch our new puppy as well as our older cat one weekend. It was a high maintenance job, as our cat needs meds twice a day and our pup was quite a handful (ie -nonstop barky spaz) when she was a baby. I was worried that he wouldn’t want to come back! Thankfully, he did and now when we go away we know that our babies are well cared for, and most of all, well loved. Clay now walks JB for us every day, and she loves it. She is calm, happy, and best of all sleepy when we come home from work.

I really cannot say enough good things about Clay – I am very lucky to have found him!”

“We started working with Clay a few months ago and we have been extremely happy with his dog sitting service. Our pug, Gloria, literally pranced off with Clay the last time I dropped her off. We chose to go with Clay because our dog has a tendency to get sick when we are away, mostly, I think, out of loneliness. Clay always sends us updates when we are away, which is fantastic. The last time he said, “I hope you don’t mind if she sleeps in my bed!” Gloria is in heaven there and comes home healthy. We had one situation where she did need some medication and Clay was happy to pick it up from the drug store and manage her daily dosage. Clay has done a terrific job.”

“Clay is a great cat sitter. He has been watching our two cats since May 2008 and one of our cats is diabetic and requires two shots a day. Clay is super responsible and we feel great knowing our little guys are under devoted care when we are out of town. Clay is also great in helping out at the last minute if an emergency should arise. Look no further, Clay is your guy if you want an affordable, professional pet sitter.”

“When I first adopted my sweet lab mix, Otis, I was afraid that boarding him in a kennel might be traumatic for him, since he came from the shelter system. Sure enough, after three nights in a local, highly-rated kennel facility, Otis came back wild-eyed and shaken. He literally dragged me out the door and took several days to get back to normal at home. At a loss for what to do, I searched Craigslist for an alternative to boarding kennels, which is how I found Clay. I am so thrilled to have found someone like Clay, who clearly loves dogs and provides a loving home-away-from home for my baby. Otis loves to stay with Clay, and always comes home happy and mellow, just like he left. Clay will pick up and drop off in the city, which is a great perk, as well. He is highly recommended.”
